THE Dress
love, Love, LOVE my dress. Simone Carvalli 7169. Its silk taffeta, which is pretty heavy for a beach wedding. But, its only going to be about 70-75* before the sun goes down, so I think I'll be ok. Honestly, I dont really care. I love my dress. I'm going to wear just the dress for the ceremony, and for the reception I'll add the belt. I didn't get that exact belt, but I did get crystals and rhinestones for a little wow factor.
Shoes.....
Ahhh....shoes. How I love thee. I had originally wanted to wear these Loubs. I LOVE the something blue lining. Then I thought, "self, do you REALLY want to rock 5" heels all over Bermuda? Do ya?"
Then I found these Manolos. The rhinestones match my belt and I love the turquoise blue color, and it matches the ocean perfectly. Also, it can be something blue. Or they come in purple, to match my bridesmaids. I like the idea of colored shoes, and love how they look in pictures. Maybe.
Or, maybe, I'll wear flip flops.

I saw these, and i fell...IN. LOVE. I thought the wedge was perfect for a destination wedding. I searched the entire NY-NJ-PA area, and could not find it in my size. So, Nordstrom was kind enough to order them for me. Im anxiously awaiting their arrival.

Fitting #1
my dress is GIGANTIC. they have to take in like 6" on each side. Its hard to tell how it looks from this pic, but im going back in 2 weeks for another fitting. hopefully it'll be better then.
Im having the bra sewn in, and a regular bustle. Im also having it tailored in so its tighter through my hips. If you look at the left side of the dress, youll see allllll the extra fabric thats getting taken in.
